I guess for the 30th anniversary of the (fictional) invention of gundams, which if you don't know are giant robot mecha suits from Japanese comics and cartoons, Japan is building a life-size gundam statue. (I am just going to assume that all of Japan has approved of this.) It's... kind of awesome?
