So I saw They Might Be Giants here in Seattle the other night. They're my favorite band and they played a great show. The line to get in literally went around almost an entire city block. I think this is the third time I've seen them now. It was pretty cool because they opened for themselves — they played their venue songs from last year's tour to promote a new DVD which is coming out soon. They said this was a new business model they are trying which is "one step ahead of understandability" because they're promoting something that isn't out yet. I think one of the best parts of the show was that there was a girl in front of me who at first kind of looked out of place at the show, but then a few songs in she started rocking out and looking like she was having a great time. I love to see that kind of thing. Anyway, it was a great show and they played a double encore. If you don't know anything about TMBG, you should check them out! If you like them, you should try to see them when this tour comes by your way!
