I'm sort of fascinated by crows. Not in like a gothy way or anything, but I just think they're really cool birds. But it's also kind of scary how intelligent they are. I watched a cool video a while back about this that I thought I had linked to but Google doesn't seem to think it's on the site so here it is: Joshua Klein on the intelligence of crows. It's 10 minutes long but I recommend watching it! It will teach you some pretty awesome/scary things about crows.
OK so there's that. But I was also reading recently that crows use causal reasoning which is a mental ability that previously we thought was unique to humans. Not even chimps have this one down.
