So I've been reading about this thing called the Read the Bills Act that some people are trying to get passed. It's a bill that aims to make it so congressdudes and ladies actually have to read the bills they vote on. The specific provisions in the RTBA seem a little extreme — most notably, it requires that the full text of every bill be read aloud in a sessions of congress before voting — but it still seems like a pretty good idea. Check it out. Write your congressdude or lady if it seems like a good idea. They even do most of the work for you if you fill out their form.
PS if you aren't an American, sorry! I hope your country has good government practices.
